“The world is filled with great purpose, opportunities, and journeys. At the end of it all, the ACT is just a random multiple-choice test. However, success in it can change lives forever, and I can help.”

My name is Jabez Park!

I graduated at the top of my class from Emory University ('16), where I double-majored in Economics & Neuroscience. The interdisciplinary nature of my distinct majors allowed me to combine the quantitative nature of pioneering sciences with the broader theoretical analysis of economics. I chose to study these contrasting areas of academics to explore the full spectrum of knowledge and satisfy my earnest thirst for new discoveries. I am originally from Oklahoma City, where my parents were pastors at a local Korean church. In my junior year of high school, I scored a perfect 36 on the ACT.

To dispel any confusion and ambiguity, I am not a tutoring company nor am I an administrator for subsidiary tutors. Over the last nine years, I have had the amazing privilege of personally working with hundreds of students across the United States. My previous students have and are currently attending the nation’s top undergraduate programs such as Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Vanderbilt, Duke, Emory, Georgia Tech, University of Georgia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Brown, and many more. I humbly believe that I am one of the top-performing tutors in the United States.

  • Sole Focus on the ACT: Unlike other tutors and programs, I only teach the ACT. Although the SAT is very similar in design and content, I believe that there are distinct differences that are wholly unique – The ACT has the Science section and the SAT has the non-calculator Math portion. It’s not that students are inherently more compatible with one exam. Most students score around the same scaled score for both the ACT and SAT. It’s that mastering two exams is very time-consuming.

  • Time-Saving, Highly-Efficient ACT Curriculum: When buying a new car, one shouldn’t pick a car solely based on the car’s ability to take you from one place to another safely – every car should be able to do this. This is a given. Similarly, every ACT strategy in the world should lead you to the correct answer. Therefore, choosing to apply a certain strategy based on this trait is very inappropriate and rarely leads to great success. I focus on maximizing a student’s ability to finish the test under the time limit as well as world-class accuracy.

  • The ACT is just a game: I approach the ACT as a game, rather than a high-stakes test. While it has some additional utilities, such as scholarships and strengthening a college application, I encourage my students to not take it too seriously. It was designed and engineered, in part, with the help of psychologists who predict the thought pathways of test-takers. If the ACT is a defense, I teach students an offense. I teach them the rules, help them improve their fundamentals, and build a relentless practice regimen, because answering a question right isn’t the goal—never answering it wrong is.

I guarantee you that I will work tirelessly to help your child succeed in their path towards college and beyond, and serve as an excellent mentor who teaches them the importance of hard work and competition. I believe I can instill a sense of competition in a way that develops passion and excellence, rather than stress and fear.
