What Parents and Students Say
Ashley R.
Parent (both children worked with Jabez)
"Harrison raised his score from a 28 to a 35 with two perfect 36 scores on English and Science. Our daughter Sterling, who had previously worked with Jabez for SAT prep, improved by 240 points. Every single point makes a huge difference in acceptances and scholarships"

Matthew W.
Student (UGA Honors)
"After getting a 26 twice, seeing a number above a 30 seemed impossible. When I opened the ACT portal, I saw a 33. My English score improved from a 28 to a 35. What I didn't expect was that the confidence I built during these sessions would carry over into everything else."

Katy G.
Parent (student scored a 36)
"That transformation didn't happen by chance. it came from Jabez's structured approach and unwavering belief that top scores are achievable with the right mindset and discipline... By test day, our son felt fully prepared and calm — and the results spoke for themselves"

Ayanna D.
Student (NYU)
"I improved from a 29 to a 35, which is a shocking result. My goal was improving my Math score to a 34, but I actually ended up getting a 36. If you'd told me that at the start of the summer, I would have laughed, but that's exactly what working with Jabez does to your expectations."

Weixing Z.
Student (Yale)
"I feared Jabez would be like any other tutor, teaching widely known techniques that don't actually move the needle. Within the first few minutes, I could tell he was the opposite. He taught me to view the test from a completely different perspective, and I increased my ACT score from a 32 to a 35. I'm still in shock"

Parent
"My son learned how to learn, how to study, and how to work at his academics in ways he had not before. Jabez never doubted him, never gave up on him. My son achieved his goal and got into his dream school. I came looking for a tutor and found someone who genuinely changed the trajectory of my son's life."

"Students don't need motivation. They need clarity. A plan creates clarity, and clarity creates action. Above all else, we must remember that perfection isn't human"

What results can I expect, and how do you guarantee them?
Most of my students improve between 3 and 9 points on the ACT. Some go further. I've had students go from a 19 to a 28, a 26 to a 32, a 28 to a 35. Over 250 students have gone through my program, and their names attached to schools like Yale, Princeton, Georgetown, MIT, and Stanford. I believe in what I do, which is why I back it with a performance guarantee. If your child completes the full program and doesn't hit their target score improvement, we prepare for the next ACT at no additional cost. I don't win unless they win.
How is this different from Kaplan, Princeton Review, or a school tutor?
Group prep courses are built for the average student. My program is built for yours. Every session is private, every plan is custom, and I'm with your child from diagnostic to test day, not a rotating roster of tutors reading from a script. The other difference is accountability. I don't just hand your child a study schedule and hope for the best. I monitor your progress, adjust the approach when something isn't working, and push them to a standard most programs never hold students to. One student told me that after a single session, he realized he'd been approaching the ACT the wrong way for three tests in a row. That's the difference between a generic prep and what I do.
What does the process look like from start to finish?
It starts with a free consultation call. We talk about where your child is, where they want to go, and whether my program is the right fit. If it is, here's what happens next: First, I run a full diagnostic to identify exactly where points are being lost and why. Then I build a custom 10-week plan (The Private ACT Masterclass) structured around 1 session (2 hours) per week with targeted homework in between. Every session has a specific focus. Nothing is filler. By week eight, we shift into test simulation and pressure-testing. By test day, your child knows exactly what to expect and how to handle it. After scores come back, we debrief together, and if another round is needed, we adjust and go again.
Is this program right for my child?
I hear this a lot: "My child has no interest in test prep. We'd basically be forcing them to show up." That's okay. Some of my favorite outcomes have come from students who walked into our first session completely checked out, only there because their parents made them, and then locked in once they had a plan. That's the thing about motivation. I don't try to manufacture it. I focus on creating clarity. A clear plan tells a student exactly where they are, where they're going, and what each session is for. Clarity creates buy-in, and buy-in creates action. If your child is resistant, that's not a dealbreaker. Book a call and let's talk.
How many students do you work with at a time?
Every ACT Masterclass is capped at 8 students. This is not a tutoring center with a rotating staff. It is me, working directly with your child every session. Sessions run Monday through Thursday, from 4:30PM to 8:30PM EST, with built-in flexibility for rescheduling as needed. I don't schedule lessons on weekends, so your family always has that time back. For students using the performance guarantee, supplemental lessons are available in the evening slots from 8:30PM to 10:30PM EST.
